Using the canvas of cloning, Ishiguro explores the moral, spiritual and legal debates connected to the creation of life. In our fractured post-modern world, this text remains both significant and essential. I have taught this text a number of times in recent years, and have used these specific resources to lead my teaching in class, as distance learning resources (SKYPE Lessons), as homework assignments and even as tools of revision – all have worked well for the students.
